Bangkok: Air Chief Marshal Praphas Sonjaidee has reassured the international community that Thailand has not encroached on Cambodian territory, emphasizing the country's commitment to peaceful resolution methods. The statement comes in the wake of allegations from Cambodia, following the recent enforcement of a ceasefire agreement between the two nations.
According to Thai News Agency, Air Chief Marshal Praphas, who also serves as the Director of the Joint Press Center for the Thai-Cambodian Border Situation, clarified the situation on January 3, 2026. He addressed the public and international observers, denying Cambodia's allegations and highlighting Thailand's ongoing dedication to the Joint Border Committee (JBC) and peaceful cooperation after the ceasefire.
Air Chief Marshal Praphas emphasized Thailand's respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations, adhering to the principle of non-use of force as stipulated by international law. He reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to the joint statement agreed upon with Cambodia, and its complete compliance with the United Nations Charter, international humanitarian law, and related conventions.
