Bangkok:Thailand's Public Health Ministry and Disease Control Department are actively monitoring reports of a plague outbreak in Russia. So far, no cases have been identified within Thailand, according to Public Health Minister Pattana Promphat.
According to the Thai News Agency, Pattana stated that officials are working closely with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep track of the situation. Russian authorities have reportedly quarantined over 100 individuals considered at risk.
Currently, there are no special screening or travel restrictions at Thai airports. However, relevant transport agencies are advised to maintain a vigilant stance. Pattana confirmed that there is no evidence of the disease or infected individuals entering Thailand and no additional measures are necessary unless the situation changes. Authorities are seeking more information to stay updated.
