Bangkok: Klong Prem Central Prison is bustling with activity as crowds await the arrival of Thaksin Shinawatra on parole this morning. Supporters of the Red Shirt movement, who came to show their support for Thaksin Shinawatra after his temporary release from prison today, continue to arrive in large numbers. Some are staying overnight, while others arrived this morning, amidst tight security measures by authorities.

According to Thai News Agency, this morning, a large crowd of Red Shirt supporters and other citizens gathered along Ngamwongwan Road in front of Klong Prem Central Prison to show support for former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is scheduled to be released on parole today. Some had stayed overnight, while others arrived gradually this morning. They secured seats to welcome Thaksin as he walked out of the prison, while others sat along the roadside where his vehicle would pick him up.

Today, security measures are in place with several hundred police officers from the Crowd Control Division, Metropolitan Police Division 2, Department of Corrections officers, and municipal officers providing security and facilitating the movement of people who have come to show support for Mr. Thaksin.

Regarding traffic this morning, outbound traffic on Ngamwongwan Road is slowing down near Klong Prem Central Prison, where a group of protesters has gathered. Officers from the Traffic Police Division and Prachachuen Police Station are on hand to facilitate traffic flow.
