Thammanat Apologizes for Limited Debate Participation Due to Campaign Commitments

Bangkok: "Thammanat" has expressed apologies for not being able to attend every debate due to his extensive campaign commitments across 17 provinces. He emphasized that engaging directly with people at the grassroots level is essential.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thammanat Phromphao, the chief advisor of the Kla Tham Party and a prime ministerial candidate, discussed the party's strategy during an interview on December 28, 2025, at the Centara Life Hotel. He acknowledged that the election campaign had not yet commenced but assured that efforts would be concentrated on securing seats for the Kla Tham Party. As part of the leadership, he mentioned that the executive and strategic committees have delineated campaign targets and responsibilities by province, with preparations underway for significant rallies. Concerning debate participation, he plans to consult with the executive committee, especially Captain Anudith Nakornthap, the party's strategic chairman, to decide on which debates to engage in based on the party's busy rally schedule. While no debates are entirely ruled out, participation will depend on resolving scheduling conflicts.

Rear Admiral Anudith highlighted the importance of managing time due to the party's regional campaign activities, given that Captain Thammanat is the sole prime ministerial candidate. Ensuring strong ties with candidates in each constituency is crucial, as the candidate's presence is vital for voter support. The strategy includes 17 major rallies nationwide, which may affect debate session participation, prompting apologies to debate organizers.

Captain Thammanat clarified the distinction between national and nationwide debates, emphasizing the importance of personal interactions with the public. This approach is consistent with Captain Anudith's perspective on prioritizing public forums and direct engagement with citizens.
