Thammanat Asserts No Invitation to Join Government Amid Cabinet Meeting

Bangkok: "Thammanat" reiterated that there are still no signs of being invited to join the government. He affirmed that the Cabinet meeting did not discuss politics, reiterating that there is no indication of being invited to join the government. He also hinted that the seats in the room were already more than half the votes.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, who also serves as the chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, commented on the atmosphere of the Cabinet meeting. He addressed whether there had been discussions about forming a new government, responding with laughter and stating that no such discussions had taken place, only talks about moving forward with their work. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is currently concentrating on his duties until a new government is established.

When questioned about the timeline for forming a new government, Captain Thamanat mentioned that they are awaiting the full certification of the election results by the Election Commission (EC). He noted that if the Prime Minister were asked, he would provide the same response, indicating a focus on continuing his ministerial responsibilities.

Regarding any positive indications of joining the government, Captain Thamanat clarified that no such signs exist. He mentioned that politics was not a major topic of discussion during the meeting; instead, attendees mostly extended congratulations to those who had won in the election. He pointed out that the combined votes of those present in the meeting room exceeded 200, surpassing the halfway mark.
