Cabinet allocates mid-year 2024 budget to support EV3 electric vehicles, totaling 7 billion baht, after bookings increased from the set budget.

Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, advisor to the Prime Minister, said that the Cabinet meeting approved the 2024 central budget to support the use of electric vehicles such as cars and motorcycles in the amount of 7,125 million baht to support the EV3 measures, such as 1. Purchase of passenger cars or passenger cars with no more than 10 seats, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) type, with a recommended retail price not exceeding 2 million baht, will receive a subsidy of 70,000 baht. Passenger cars with a battery capacity of 10 kilowatt hours but less than 30 kilowatt hours will receive a subsidy of 150,000 baht for passenger cars or passenger cars with no more than 10 seats, with a battery capacity of 30 kilowatt hours or more.
