Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the 4th meeting of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT Board) for 2024, with Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the SAT, and the board of directors attending the meeting at the Ministry of Transport. The meeting acknowledged the results of the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris, France, where Thai athletes ranked 44th in the world, 12th in Asia, and 3rd in ASEAN, with a total of 6 medals: 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. The 17th Paralympic Games in Paris, France, where Thai athletes ranked 21st in the world, 6th in Asia, and 1st in ASEAN, with a total of 30 medals: 6 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals. In addition, the meeting also approved Mr. Thanukiat Chanchum, former deputy governor of the SAT, who passed the qualification examination and passed the English language and vision test at the end of August, to be the new manager of the National Sports Develop ment Fund for a 4-year term, starting from Tuesday, October 1, 2024 onwards.
