Tosakan Band Lead Singer Suffers Severe Burns in Lat Phrao Brewery Fire

Bangkok: The leader of the Tosakan band revealed that "Din," their lead singer injured in the Lat Phrao brewery fire, is in stable condition but suffered burns over 80% of his body. "Din" is under close medical supervision and requires dialysis.

According to Thai News Agency, "Ice," the leader of the band Tosakan, shared updates on Din's condition, stating that his condition remains stable after surgery on July 13th. Din is responsive and conscious, and his family is monitoring his condition at the hospital. Ice noted that no representatives from the involved restaurant have contacted them yet regarding compensation, despite a statement on their Facebook page.

The mental state of the band members is reportedly poor. Many have turned to merit-making and prayers at temples. Friends are attending the funeral of "Breeze," Din's girlfriend and fellow singer, whose body will be taken to Wat Laem Fapha in Samut Prakan province for the ceremony. Ice expressed fear of revisiting the scene and advised musicians to prioritize safety when choosing venues.

Ice urged the public not to let the incident fade from memory and committed to seeking compensation for all victims. Artist and singer Kit from Three Man Down echoed concerns about safety in entertainment venues, highlighting issues like lack of fire escapes and poor ventilation. He called for prioritizing safety and listening to concerns without backlash.

The incident has sparked a call for changes in safety standards at entertainment venues. Ice plans to perform religious rites for his girlfriend at Wat Laem Fapha, underscoring the personal and communal impact of the tragedy.
