Bangkok: The Cycling Association of Thailand is expressing confidence in their track cyclists’ readiness for the upcoming SEA Games, with a specific aim to secure one gold medal in the competition.
According to Thai News Agency, General Decha Hemkrasri, the President of the Cycling Association of Thailand, made a visit to the Velodrome in Huamark, Bangkok, where he addressed the Thai national track cycling team. His speech was intended to boost the morale of the athletes as they prepare for their participation in the 33rd SEA Games.
General Decha emphasized the importance of transparent communication regarding the benefits and prize money the athletes are entitled to receive. He assured the team that there were no issues regarding their allowances, which have consistently been paid on time and in full, to avoid any future misunderstandings.
The Velodrome has undergone comprehensive renovations, including updates to the grandstands, tracks, and the construction of a safety fence, ensuring that all facilities meet international standards. The athletes, including notable names such as Jai Angsuthasawit, Judah Isaiah Thompson, and Petty Officer 1st Class Noraseththada Bunma, are prepared and confident in their ability to secure at least one gold medal for Thailand. The association has set an overall target of six gold medals across all cycling categories.
The track cycling events will offer a total of five gold medals and are scheduled to take place from December 18-19 at the Velodrome Huamark.
