According to Thai News Agency, President Trump addressed reporters on Air Force One after returning from a vacation in Florida. He criticized Colombia, labeling it a "terrible country" due to its leadership allegedly being involved in cocaine production and trafficking into the United States. When questioned about potential military action against Colombia, Trump indicated that it seemed like a plausible course of action.

In response to these developments, Colombian President Gustavo Petro expressed his concerns on social media platform X following the US military operation in Venezuela, which took the world by surprise. President Petro highlighted his apprehension regarding the US actions and the increasing tensions in the region. In a precautionary move, Colombia has bolstered its military presence along the Venezuelan border following President Trump's announcement of his intentions to govern Venezuela.
