Bangkok: Veteran comedian Tua Rae Chernyim has taken a philanthropic step by opening a kitchen to serve the public as part of the Royal Kindness Project. In collaboration with the Volunteer Chefs Association and the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the kitchen offers “Khao Kai Jeaw Song Khrueng” at the Royal Food Zone within Sanam Luang, near the Sri Burapha Auditorium at Thammasat University, Tha Prachan Campus. This initiative aims to provide freshly fried meals to citizens nationwide who come to pay their respects and sign their condolences before the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at the Sahathai Samakhom Pavilion in the Grand Palace.
According to Thai News Agency, Tua Rae Chernyim announced plans to open a charity kitchen on November 5, 2025, distributing 500 bowls of “Tom Yum Pork Noodles” courtesy of donations from generous patrons. This gesture is part of a tribute to the Queen Mother. Furthermore, on November 18, 2025, Tua Rae will lead more than 100 comedians from the Thai Comedian Association in paying their respects at the royal urn in Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall. They will also notify Her Majesty that a mass ordination ceremony will take place on November 20, 2025, for nine days at Wat Pracharat Bamrung (Wat Rang Man) in Nakhon Pathom Province.
The comedian expressed his commitment to continue philanthropic activities and preserve Thai culture, including Khon performances and traditional fabrics, following the teachings of the Mother of the Land. Tua Rae aims for these cultural elements to endure through time.
