U.S. Embassy in Iraq Attacked by Drones and Rockets, Causing Fire

Baghdad: The U.S. embassy in Iraq, located within Baghdad's Green Zone, caught fire after being attacked by drones and rockets late Tuesday. The incident resulted in fires in nearby buildings and plumes of smoke rising from the area.

According to Thai News Agency, the embassy was attacked in three waves, beginning at 7:00 PM local time on Tuesday. Air defenses were unable to intercept the second attack, which resulted in a fire. Iraqi security sources indicated that at least three drones targeted U.S. buildings near Baghdad International Airport. However, there were no initial reports of injuries or fatalities.
