Udon Thani police arrested a pimp who sold a 17-year-old girl for sexual services in a hotel parking lot. She claimed that she did it because she had no money to pay her car installments and daily expenses, as well as to find money to treat her depression. Udon Thani City Police officers arrested Ms. Tukata, a 40-year-old pimp, and helped two 17-year-old girls who were victims of Ms. Tukata's human trafficking. The arrest was made after police received a tip from an informant that Ms. Tukkata had posted messages offering sexual services on the X application and had left a Line ID for contact. Officers therefore worked together to make a plan for the informant to purchase services. When the appointed time came, Ms. Tukkata was seen driving a white sedan into the hotel's parking lot to drop off Ms. A (assumed name), aged 17, to the customer who was the informant. Then, Ms. Tukkata drove the same sedan to pick up Ms. B (assumed name), aged 17, at the parking lot of another hotel approximately 3 kilometers awa y. The police then showed themselves and arrested her before taking her for questioning at the police station. Ms. Tukkata confessed to all charges that she did it because she did not have money to pay for the sedan installments and for daily expenses, including having to find money to treat herself from depression. The two 17-year-old girls are children whose families have broken up and have come to live with Ms. Tukkata at her house in order to earn money for daily expenses. In addition, there are 9 other girls aged 17-20 in her care, making a total of 11 people. Ms. Tukkata claims that she did not force or threaten the children into prostitution. After this, the police will work with multidisciplinary teams to investigate the two 17-year-old girls and provide assistance in accordance with legal procedures. Source: Thai News Agency
