Trang:Authorities are in pursuit of the individual responsible for the latest grenade attack in Trang, marking the 12th such incident in the past two months. This recent attack has heightened concern among local residents.

According to Thai News Agency, the attack targeted Ms. Kannika's home, which also serves as a beauty salon in Moo 5, Ban Nam Cha, Kantang District. The attack occurred around 2:30 AM when an unknown assailant threw a bomb, causing damage to the property but resulting in no injuries or fatalities.

Police officers from Kantang Police Station discovered two bomb fuses and shrapnel at the scene, along with two craters in front of the house. The explosion damaged the walls, glass doors, windows, roof tiles, and severed communication cables.

Ms. Kannika recounted that she heard a motorcycle and a car outside her house around 1:00 AM. Initially dismissing it as neighbors, she later heard two loud explosions. Her family, including her son-in-law, her 90-year-old mother, and two grandchildren, were terrified and took shelter inside their home before contacting the police.

Ms. Kannika emphasized that she has no conflicts and is solely involved in rubber tapping and running her beauty salon. The family is now living in fear and unable to sleep soundly until the perpetrator is caught.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to track down the suspect and are confident of an imminent arrest. This attack adds to a series of grenade incidents, including attacks at the Nakhon Trang bullfighting stadium and homes in various districts. Despite ongoing investigations, the perpetrators remain at large.
