Van Dijk Confident in Salah’s Commitment to Liverpool

Liverpool: Virgil van Dijk expects Mohamed Salah to stay with Liverpool and not leave the team during the New Year transfer window. Mohamed Salah returned to the pitch in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton, providing the assist for the winning goal, after clearing things up with manager Arne Schlot.

According to Thai News Agency, the Egyptian striker will join the Egyptian national team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after this game, running until mid-January 2026. However, it remains unclear whether Salah will return to the team after that mission or move to another club, particularly those from Saudi Arabia who are reportedly interested.

However, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk revealed that he spoke to the veteran striker after the game and told him he wanted him to stay with the team.
