Victims Allege Misuse of Donations by ‘Boom Panadda’ Foundation

Bangkok:Victims who donated to the "Do Good" foundation associated with "Boom Panadda" have come forward to file complaints, alleging that their contributions were misused for personal purposes rather than being used to help those in need.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sittra Biabangkerd, known as Lawyer Tum, accompanied nearly ten victims to file a police report against those involved with the "Good Deeds Foundation." The foundation is accused of using donated funds, which were intended for charitable causes, for personal expenses. Lawyer Tum explained that the victims, who had donated with the expectation that their money would aid those in need, became concerned after hearing reports that the funds were allegedly used to build pool villas and cover other personal expenses.

Victims from various provinces, including Chonburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan, reported donating sums ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands of baht. These donations were meant to assist flood victims and people along the border. However, upon learning that the money might have been used for other purposes, they requested a thorough investigation.

Additionally, Ms. Khongkwan Fujitnirun, also known as Dr. Khongkwan, filed a police report. Despite her initial reluctance, she decided to act after discussions with "Num Kanchai" and other affected individuals. Dr. Khongkwan voiced her disappointment at seeing donated goods, such as food, water, medicine, and diapers, left unused, while the money was allegedly taken. She described the misuse of funds as appalling.

In a related development, actress Bella Ranee, who reportedly fell victim to a fraudulent donation scheme involving approximately 2 million baht, also provided her statement to the police.
