Bangkok: "View" Kulavut Vitidsarn and Viktor Axelsen from Denmark, along with other top badminton players from around the world, are preparing to compete in the Badminton Thailand Masters 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakon, Minister of Tourism and Sports, confirmed the readiness for the 'Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters 2026' badminton tournament. This World Tour Super 300 event will see competitors vying for the Royal Trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. The event is scheduled to take place from January 27th to February 1st at the Nimibutr Building, National Stadium.
Several world-renowned badminton players have confirmed their participation, including 'View' Kulavut Vitidsarn, world number 2 and 2024 Olympic silver medalist; Viktor Axelsen, former world number 1 from Denmark; and 'May' Ratchanok Intanon, who recently won the women's singles gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
Air Chief Marshal Monthol Satchukorn, President of the Badminton Association of Thailand, expressed optimism that this tournament, now in its 10th year, will attract many world-class badminton players. He also hopes that Thai players will build on their performance at the recent SEA Games and retain the Royal Trophy for Thailand.
