Washington Commanders Triumph Over Philadelphia Eagles with 27 Unanswered Points

Washington:The Washington Commanders achieved a decisive 27-10 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, ending a six-game losing streak for the Eagles. The Commanders showcased a robust defensive performance, keeping the Eagles scoreless for the final three quarters during their Sunday Night Football matchup.

According to Thai News Agency, the Commanders were led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 217 yards and one touchdown. This marked Daniels' first victory as a starter since October 5, 2025, against the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite facing heavy tackles towards the end of the first half, Daniels guided his team to a 27-point comeback.

The Eagles initially gained a 10-0 lead in the first quarter with a 3-yard touchdown run by Sequon Barkley. However, their momentum was halted by the Commanders' defense. Barkley managed only 30 yards on 13 carries, while Eagles' backup quarterback Tanner McGee, filling in for the injured Jalen Hurts, recorded 212 yards without a touchdown, was sacked five times, and threw one interception.

Key moments included a 56-yard field goal by Drew Stevens that put the Commanders on the scoreboard at 3-10. Daniels then connected with Stephon Diggs for an 8-yard touchdown, leveling the score at 10-10. Another field goal from Stevens gave the Commanders a 13-10 lead by halftime.

A pivotal moment occurred in the second half when Jake Elliott's field goal for the Eagles was disallowed due to an "illegitimate formation" foul. Elliott missed a subsequent 41-yard attempt, which the Commanders capitalized on to secure their 27-10 victory.

This win places the Washington Commanders (2-4-1) within striking distance of the NFC East's leading New York Giants. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles (2-6) face significant challenges as their losing streak extends to six games.
