Bangkok: The BMA ROZA YONEX TIP Badminton Open Championship 2024, a prestigious event held in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and Bangkok Governor Dr. Chadchart Sittipunt, is nearing its conclusion as it enters the fifth day of competition at the Vessana Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan).
According to Thai News Agency, the semi-final rounds witnessed impressive performances in the 9-year-old categories. In the men’s singles, top-seeded Worawut Wicharahatta secured his place in the finals by defeating Narawith Traiphunburana, the fifth seed, with straight sets of 21-16, 21-10. Meanwhile, in the women’s singles, number two seed Arisara Pornkesomsuk emerged victorious over Naphak Kesakanan, winning 21-8, 21-14, to advance to the final round.
Both young athletes will now compete for the Royal Trophy, highlighting their potential and dedication in the sport of badminton.
