According to Thai News Agency, the game saw an early lead for Wrexham, with Ribedado C¡quez scoring in the 37th minute. Oliver Rathbone doubled the lead just three minutes later. Nottingham Forest responded in the 64th minute with a goal from Igor Jesus, but Wrexham restored their two-goal advantage with a header by Dominic Hayam in the 74th minute.

Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi quickly narrowed the gap, scoring in the 76th minute, and then equalized in the 89th minute, bringing the score to 3-3. The match remained tied through extra time, leading to a tense penalty shootout. Wrexham's goalkeeper, Arthur Okonko, made decisive saves against Igor Jesus and Omari Hutchinson, clinching the victory for Wrexham.
