Phumtham Assigns Army Authority Over Thai-Cambodian Border Incident
Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, the acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, has granted authority to the military to manage the escalating situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. The decision was made following a special meeting of the National Security Council and the Cabinet to address the recent clashes that resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians and 1 soldier.
