Bangkok: The National Gem and Jewelry Institute is inviting the public to explore the wonders of ancient amber at the exhibition 'AMBER: Frozen Time,' which is being held at the Gem and Jewelry Museum. According to Thai News Agency, the exhibition, which is open from today until September 30, 2026, showcases the rich history and allure of Burmese amber. Visitors will have the chance to see various amber samples and amber jewelry, including necklaces, pendants, bracelets, and rings.

The exhibition provides a unique opportunity for attendees to touch real amber and learn about its origins, formation processes, and characteristics. It also offers engaging stories and facts about this natural gemstone that has been preserved for over 99 million years. To commemorate His Majesty the King's 74th birthday, free entry is available throughout July 2026.

Located on the 2nd floor of the ITF Tower on Silom Road, the Gem and Jewelry Museum is accessible by several transportation options. Visitors can reach the museum by bus lines 15, 34, 36, 76, 77, 115, 504, and 547, or via the BTS Skytrain at Sala Daeng or Chong Nonsi stations and the MRT at Silom Station. For those traveling by car, parking is available on floors 6, 7, and 8. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and is closed on weekends and public holidays.
