Angelina Jolie Visits Rafah to Discuss Aid for Gaza

Rafah: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie visited the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side to discuss ways to send aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Jolie, a former Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, engaged with officials at the Rafah outpost to explore options for delivering additional aid to the region. This visit coincides with Israel's announcement to suspend the operations of aid groups working in Gaza.

According to Thai News Agency, Jolie revealed that she had engaged with humanitarian agencies striving to deliver aid and had visited a warehouse filled with relief supplies, primarily medical equipment, that Israel had refused to allow into Gaza. Her meetings included discussions with officials from the Egyptian Red Crescent and other local organizations on enhancing the delivery of urgent aid, such as fuel, medical supplies, and essential items, to Palestinians in need this winter. Jolie emphasized the urgency of rapid delivery, noting that delays could result in the loss of life. She expressed gratitude to the volunteers in the area and took the opportunity to meet with Palestinian and Sudanese refugee families residing in Egypt.
