Anutin Assures Peaceful Thai-Cambodian Border on February 8th

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul has reiterated that the border will be peaceful on February 8th and there will be no problems. He confirmed that the border area is calm and under control, with no signs of any undesirable incidents. He assured that there will be no problems on February 8th and urged Thais to have confidence in the military and the government.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, also the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed media questions on Veterans Day concerning the Thai-Cambodian border situation. He stated that the area is calm and under control, with no signs of any undesirable incidents. He encouraged the Thai people to maintain confidence in the military and government, emphasizing that all necessary measures are being taken. He assured that the authorities are not complacent, with strong and effective border control and surveillance in place, even in the absence of violent incidents.

Regarding the upcoming February 8th election, Mr. Anutin stated, "No, there won't be any problems. February 8th is election day, just a few days away. Looking at the number of people who came out to vote in advance on February 1st, it's clear that Thai people attach great importance to this election, which will determine the future of the country. And who will determine that future but the owners of the country, which are the people."
