Anutin Campaigns in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Dismisses Democrat Party’s Criticism

Nakhon si thammarat: Anutin Charnvirakul campaigned vigorously in Nakhon Si Thammarat to bolster support for Bhumjaithai Party candidates across nine constituencies, expressing confidence in their chances due to his strong rapport with local residents. He dismissed the Democrat Party's reference to "ancestral treasure," emphasizing that success should be grounded in conviction rather than derogatory remarks.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, asserted his confidence in the province, where the party has fielded candidates in all nine constituencies. He noted, "We are confident that all the candidates nominated by the Bhumjaithai Party are well-known to the local people, have a close relationship with the community, and are trustworthy." He highlighted the positive reception they received during their campaign efforts in the area.

When questioned about the Bhumjaithai Party's ability to make inroads in the southern region amid claims by the Democrat Party of unwavering loyalty among southern voters, Anutin remarked that each individual has their beliefs and he refrained from commenting on the comfort others find in their assertions. He acknowledged his position as one of the competitors in the race.

Despite concerns about the Democrat Party's strong momentum towards the campaign's conclusion, Anutin remained unfazed, stating, "We've never been worried. We didn't win by engaging in verbal clashes or by using derogatory rhetoric against others. We won by building confidence among the people, showing them what the Bhumjaithai Party has done for them."

Responding to the Democrat Party's mention of "old man's inheritance," Anutin reiterated that everyone is entitled to their beliefs. He clarified that his appearances at rallies in Hat Yai, Songkhla, and Nakhon Si Thammarat were part of a broader campaign strategy rather than a reaction to the rising popularity of the blue shirt movement.

Reporters noted that the Bhumjaithai Party's candidates for Member of Parliament in Nakhon Si Thammarat include Mr. Rachit Sudphum (Constituency 1), Ms. Nantawan Wichian (Constituency 2), Mr. Mana Yuangthong (Constituency 3), Lieutenant Sanan Phibun (Constituency 4), Mr. Sutham Charitngam (Constituency 5), Mr. Sattha Khaokham (Constituency 6), Mr. Aphinan Samosorn (Constituency 7), Ms. Uayporn Sri Chaowalit (Constituency 8), and Ms. Pimphattra Wichaikul (Constituency 9).
