Anutin Charnvirakul Asserts Independence From Orders in Political Career

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has firmly stated that he has never received orders from anyone in his 22-23 years in politics. This declaration comes in response to criticism from Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, the former leader of the Future Forward Party, regarding Anutin's refusal to allow the Orange Party (Pheu Thai Party) to form a government.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin emphasized that only the people have the authority to give orders, dismissing any external influence on governmental formation. He addressed Thanathorn's assertions, stating that he was unaware of any alleged orders preventing the formation of a government by the People's Party in the current election. Anutin reiterated that the power to elect MPs and form a government lies solely with the people.

Anutin further elaborated on the democratic process, asserting that the election results are solely determined by the people's votes. "No one can dictate that," he stated, underscoring the autonomy of elected officials who are accountable to the electorate. He reassured that there is nothing to fear from supposed directives, having never encountered such in his extensive political career.

His comments highlight a commitment to democratic principles, where elected representatives are expected to heed the will of the people, free from external directives.
