Anutin Charnvirakul to Visit Narathiwat to Address Kamolsak Assassination Attempt

Narathiwat: Anutin Charnvirakul has announced plans to visit Narathiwat on April 17 to address the recent assassination attempt on Kamolsak Leewamoh. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior emphasized the need for decisive and swift action in response to the incident.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin Charnvirakul aims to support Kamolsak Leewamoh, a Member of Parliament from Narathiwat province representing the Prachachart Party, during his visit. The Royal Thai Police and the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) are currently expediting their investigation into the shooting case. Anutin expressed his resolve to completely eradicate violence, highlighting the unacceptable risk even experienced MPs face.

Anutin asserted that the country cannot tolerate violence as a means of problem-solving. He reiterated his commitment to maintaining strict gun control measures and promised decisive action against lawbreakers. Anutin dismissed concerns about a potential cover-up, stating that police and relevant agencies must handle the matter thoroughly and ensure full accountability.

The Prime Minister also addressed issues involving military personnel and ISOC, acknowledging ongoing investigations into the use of ISOC vehicles. He emphasized that those responsible for approving the use of vehicles are at fault, while those involved in the assault must be prosecuted. The police have established procedures to address these issues.
