Anutin Confident of Securing Bhumjaithai Seats in Nakhon Ratchasima, Highlights Cassava Price Impact

Nakhon ratchasima: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, expressed strong confidence in securing parliamentary seats for his party in the upcoming Nakhon Ratchasima election, emphasizing the beneficial impact of cassava prices due to recent border closures. He also criticized the government's cash handout policy, highlighting the effectiveness of the "half-half" scheme instead.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin took the stage at 11:30 AM today at the Non Sung Subdistrict Municipality Dome in Nakhon Ratchasima Province to campaign for Mr. Thawirat Rattanaset, the Bhumjaithai Party's candidate for Constituency 5. Mr. Thawirat is the son of Mr. Wirat Rattanaset, a former key figure in the Palang Pracharath Party. The event witnessed a large crowd welcoming Anutin, with attendees offering flowers and taking selfies. Joining him were Mr. Boonjong Wongtaitrat, candidate for Nakhon Ratchasima Constituency 10, Mr. Wirat Rattanaset, and Mrs. Tasaniya Rattanaset.

During the campaign rally, Anutin addressed several national security and economic issues. He highlighted national security achievements, crediting his coordination with the military for successfully reclaiming every square inch of Thai land as a gift to the Thai people. Anutin argued that the closure of border crossings had benefitted Thailand by preventing the smuggling of agricultural products such as rice and cassava, as well as narcotics. He pointed out that these border closures had resulted in increased income for cassava farmers, as they were no longer affected by smuggled cassava imports from neighboring countries.

Anutin also expressed confidence that the Bhumjaithai Party would gain more Members of Parliament in this election compared to the last. He emphasized the party's strategic candidate selection and reiterated that their campaigns would avoid aggressive rhetoric and attacks against other parties.

The Bhumjaithai Party leader further clarified that the selection of Mr. Thawirat was not influenced by a powerful family in the area. Instead, Mr. Thawirat was chosen because his father, Mr. Wirach, is a local resident who understands the issues well, and Mr. Thawirat himself is regarded as highly knowledgeable and capable.
