Authorities Raid Magnesium Warehouse Using Fake FDA Registration Numbers

Bangkok: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), raided a warehouse in Lat Krabang, Bangkok, and discovered magnesium supplements using fake FDA registration numbers.

According to Thai News Agency, authorities seized several counterfeit cosmetic products being sold online, with a total value exceeding 2 million baht. The warehouse was rented by a Chinese national who advertised and sold counterfeit goods through online platforms. The products were illegally imported from abroad and stored in the warehouse, awaiting orders from Thai customers. Upon receiving an order, they would be packaged and shipped to customers.

Sales averaged approximately 3,000 units per day, a practice that had been ongoing for about a year. The actions constitute violations of the Pharmaceutical Act, the Cosmetics Act, and the Herbal Products Act.
