Bail Granted to Wacharapol and Supa in “Big Pom’s” Watch Case

Bangkok: Bail has been granted to Wacharapol Prasarnrajkit and Supa Piyachitti in the high-profile case involving the non-disclosure of information regarding General Prawit Wongsuwan's luxury watches. The court set bail at 400,000 baht for each defendant and imposed a travel restriction, prohibiting them from leaving the Kingdom without court permission.

According to Thai News Agency, the case stems from a lawsuit filed by Weera Somkwamkid, secretary-general of the People's Network Against Corruption. Somkwamkid has accused 12 executives and commissioners of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of failing to disclose documents related to General Wongsuwan's ownership of luxury watches during his tenure as Deputy Prime Minister.

The court has sentenced Pol. Gen. Watcharapol and Ms. Supa to three years in prison for violating Section 157 read together with Section 83 of the Criminal Code. Following their appeal, the two filed for bail by providing the necessary collateral, which led to the court's decision to grant bail under the stipulated conditions.
