Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Launches Training Program for School Principals

Bangkok: The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has initiated a training program aimed at enhancing the management skills of school principals to improve the quality of education. Ms. Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary of BMA, presided over the ceremony marking the start of this initiative, held at the Patcharawadee Room, Prince Palace Hotel. The event was attended by BMA executives, Education Department leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.

According to Thai News Agency, the Deputy Permanent Secretary highlighted that the role of school directors now demands not only effective management abilities but also academic and change leadership skills. The training platform is designed to facilitate knowledge exchange, foster innovation, and develop essential skills to align schools with the needs of students and the broader community. Ms. Pornchaiya emphasized the importance of dedication, ethical conduct, and a public-spirited attitude among school leaders. The focus is on delivering high-quality education that adapts to changes and fosters students' all-round development, equipping them with skills necessary for the 21st century.

The BMA's Education Department organized this course to continually develop school administrators in line with Civil Service Commission regulations. The program aims to improve techniques, strategies, and work methods, promoting positive attitudes and professional conduct. It targets 59 BMA teachers and educational personnel in principal positions, ranging from expert to highly skilled, within district offices. The curriculum encompasses academic training, study visits, and report preparation and presentation.
