Bhumjaithai Party to File Defamation Lawsuit Against Seri Phisut Over Government Inclusion Claims

Bangkok: Bhumjaithai Party is preparing to file a defamation lawsuit against Seri Phisut, alleging that his attempt to bring them into the government was impolite. Bhumjaithai Party reiterated that it never considered inviting Seri Ruam Thai to join the government. They revealed that the party and Anutin Charnvirakul are preparing to file a defamation lawsuit against Seri Phisut within this week, after he claimed that inviting Seri Ruam Thai to join the government was impolite.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, a party-list MP and legal counsel for the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the allegations made by Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyaves, a party-list MP and leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, against the Bhumjaithai Party. He reiterated that the Bhumjaithai Party never intended to include Pol. Gen. Seripisut in a coalition government. He explained that during the election, Pol. Gen. Seripisut violated the Constitutional Act on the Election of Members of Parliament by making false accusations against the Bhumjaithai Party. The party has filed a lawsuit with the Election Commission (EC), which has established a subcommittee to investigate the matter, and the case is currently under investigation.

Mr. Supachai stated definitively that the Bhumjaithai Party's decision to pursue such a lawsuit means that they have no intention of inviting him to work with them. Therefore, his assumption that they would include his party is completely unfounded. The Bhumjaithai Party has never invited Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth's party to join the party. Thus, his claims are pure imagination and speculation. I reiterate, the Bhumjaithai Party has never invited him.

The matter that the Bhumjaithai Party previously filed with the Election Commission concerned allegations of corruption involving 4 billion baht to organize the MotoGP event. If the investigation finds that Pol. Gen. Seripisut is guilty under Section 73, Clause 5, the case will go to court. The court, if it finds him guilty, could disqualify him from his position as an MP. Therefore, I advise him to focus on fighting that case first. Regarding his interviews over the past two days, he has accused the Bhumjaithai Party and Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in his capacity as the party leader. Therefore, the Bhumjaithai Party and Mr. Anutin will be pursuing defamation charges against Pol. Gen. Seripisut within this week, Mr. Supachai said.

Mr. Supachai said, "We understand that today you are experiencing something that you are unaware of, something related to your own self-confidence or narcissism. Psychologically, this could be described as having high self-esteem or narcissism. Today, the country must move forward, and with respect for your advanced age, it's good to be a good person and say you don't cheat. However, I would like to emphasize that your actions, thoughts, and words must be guided by good people. Doing good deeds alone, but having questionable conduct like this, could lead to legal action."
