Bhumjaithai Party to Unveil Four Prospective MPs from Prachachart Party

Bangkok: The Bhumjaithai Party is set to introduce four prospective MPs from the Prachachart Party on February 20th, signaling their support for Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister. Notably absent from this event will be Thawee Sodsong, who is facing challenges in interacting with the Bhumjaithai leadership due to historical conflicts. Despite these difficulties, the Bhumjaithai Party remains committed to its collaboration with the Pheu Thai Party.

According to Thai News Agency, the announcement will take place at 10:00 AM at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters. The four prospective MPs who will be introduced include Mr. Sulaiman Bueanapeena for Yala Constituency 1, Mr. Sukarno Mata for Yala Constituency 2, Mr. Abdulayee Samaeng for Yala Constituency 3, and Mr. Kamolsak Leewamoh for Narathiwat Constituency 5. All four have pledged their endorsement for Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as the Prime Ministerial candidate.

In contrast, Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, who is a prospective MP on the Prachachart Party's party-list, will not be participating in the unveiling event. Instead, it is anticipated that he will chart his political path with the Pheu Thai Party in the future.

The Prachachart Party is scheduled to convene on the afternoon of February 19th to finalize this resolution before moving forward with their joint event with the Bhumjaithai Party.

Reporters have highlighted that Pol. Col. Tawee has had a longstanding contentious relationship with the Bhumjaithai leadership, dating back to his tenure in the opposition and his role as Minister of Justice. This includes disputes over issues such as the Khao Kradong land matter and the Senate collusion case.
