Bangkok: "Big Tao" has hinted that his subordinates, "Big Jok" and Minnie, may reconsider their stance and provide crucial information to the police, accusing him of enjoying the torture and physical abuse of those under his command.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Maj. Gen. Jaroonkiat Panngaeo, the Deputy Commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, has confirmed that the case against Big Jok is being prosecuted based on substantial evidence and facts, which are also proving beneficial in several other cases. Investigators plan to question additional witnesses about various incidents. A crime reenactment at the scene, using the same make and model of the vehicle involved, revealed that four people, including Mr. A., were inside the car. Pol. Col. Pakphum was able to describe the proximity of his car to the other vehicle, verifying if he could see the individuals inside. His testimony, corroborated by several video clips, aligns with the facts, providing complete information to the investigation.
The officers involved are known for their strong work ethic and have not acted with the intent to expose anyone. During their duties, they witnessed actions by their superior that they felt compelled to endure out of gratitude for the care and upbringing they had received. However, the realization of unfair treatment and attempts by their leader to shift blame, as shown in video evidence, had a profound impact on them and their families, leading some to contemplate suicide.
The decisive moment that led Pol. Col. Pakphum to become a witness was influenced by his father, an alumnus of the 25th class of the Police Cadet Academy, who was steadfastly loyal to the organization. After a disheartening conversation with Big Jok, who abruptly ended the call, Pakphum's father expressed his distress and threatened suicide over the negative publicity tarnishing their family's reputation. This prompted Pakphum to submit all his evidence to the investigators, urging for justice and saying, "Open the door for those who have been imprisoned for decades."
In addition, reports have surfaced regarding the abuse of subordinates, indicating that many who were physically assaulted sought medical evaluations and obtained certificates from hospitals. These documents are valuable to the police investigation. The officer in question has a history of a violent temper, frequently resorting to physical abuse over minor issues. Currently, efforts are being made to gather information from lower-ranking officers to corroborate these allegations.
