BLACKPINK Releases New Album ‘Deadline’ After Three-Year Hiatus

South korea: South Korean K-pop sensation BLACKPINK released their new mini-album, or EP, titled "DEADLINE" today. This marks the group's first album in over three years since the release of their second full-length album in 2022.

According to Thai News Agency, the new album comprises five tracks, including "GO" and "JUMP," electronic dance music (EDM) tracks that were released earlier. Earlier this month, YG Entertainment, the group's agency, revealed that BLACKPINK became the first artist in the world to surpass 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Furthermore, they are the first K-pop group to headline world-renowned music festivals such as Coachella and the British Summer Time Festival.

All four members decided to renew their contracts as a group with their original agency in 2023. However, each member has either established their own company or signed new agreements with other labels for solo activities. To date, all members have released solo albums.
