Bangkok: BTS Skytrain will extend its service hours until 2:00 AM on New Year’s Eve, providing late-night transportation options for residents and visitors. All stations on the Sukhumvit, Silom, and Gold Lines will remain operational from the night of December 31, 2025, until the early hours of January 1, 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surapong Laoha-anya, Managing Director of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTS), announced the extended operating hours as part of a collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Bangkok Thanakom Company Limited. This initiative aims to facilitate travel during New Year’s celebrations.
The last train from the Sukhumvit Line will depart at 2:00 AM from both Khuk Khot Station (N24) and Kheha Station (E23). On the Silom Line, the final trains will leave National Stadium Station (W1) at 2:44 AM and Bang Wa Station (S12) at 2:22 AM. Siam Station (CEN) will dispatch its last train to all stations at 2:45 AM. Passengers can verify train schedules via the THE SKYTRAINs application and at ticket counters.
To accommodate commuters, park-and-ride facilities at Khu Khot Station, Yaek KPO Station, and Kheha Station will offer free parking from 5:00 AM on December 31, 2025, until 3:00 AM on January 1, 2026. Additionally, the Mo Chit Station facility will extend free parking until 1:00 AM on January 2, 2026.
Travelers have several ticketing options, including the Rabbit Card, Single Journey Cards, and One-Day Passes, to ease their transit. The Gold Line’s last trains will leave Charoen Nakhon Station (G2) and Khlong San Station (G3) at 2:25 AM.
Security measures have been heightened, with officials conducting stringent baggage checks and prohibiting dangerous items such as weapons, sharp objects, and fireworks. Officials will provide assistance, and CCTV monitoring will be active around the clock across all stations.
