Chiang rai: Ethnic groups in Chiang Rai were alert and exercised their right to vote in the election and referendum since early morning, amidst 17-degree Celsius weather.
According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere in Chiang Rai province was lively despite the cool weather as citizens participated in the democratic process by casting their votes in the parliamentary elections and referendum.
In Mae Yao Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, ethnic groups began arriving to exercise their voting rights before 8:00 AM, showing their political awareness and commitment to the electoral process. At polling station 5, located at the multipurpose hall of Ban Huai Sai Khao, there were 703 eligible voters, predominantly indigenous people and members of the Akha ethnic group.
The public displayed cooperation and adherence to election regulations, underscoring their intention to shape the future of the country through their votes.
