Beijing: China held a cremation ceremony for former Premier Zhu Rongji in Beijing. China cremated the remains of Zhu Rongji, a member of the 14th and 15th Standing Committees of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Mausoleum in Beijing. Zhu passed away at the age of 98 in Beijing on August 12.
According to Thai News Agency, President Xi Jinping and other high-ranking leaders of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government, including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng, attended the funeral to bid farewell to Zhu Rongji. They approached his body, stood in silent mourning, bowed three times, and offered condolences to his family. Former President Hu Jintao also sent a wreath to express his condolences.
Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng, and Hu Jintao, among others, had either visited Zhu Rongji during his hospitalization or conveyed their deepest condolences and sympathy to his family through various means following his death.
