Bangkok: "Chulaphan" is not worried about "Pita" returning in the final stretch. Chulaphan hopes Pheu Thai will have a significant lead over the second-place candidate and lead the formation of the government. He believes every party wants a clear victory and is not worried about "Pita" returning in the final stages, emphasizing that the final decision rests with the people.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, leader and prime minister candidate of the Pheu Thai Party, commented on the People's Party's announcement at a large rally at Samyan Mitrtown yesterday that to win decisively, they need a lead of 30-40 seats over the second-place party. He said that the Pheu Thai Party also wants that outcome. To lead the formation of a government, a significant lead over the second-place party is necessary. Every party that expects to lead a government, including the Pheu Thai Party, is no exception. Ultimately, the people will decide.
When asked if he was concerned about Mr. Pita's return to campaigning in the final stretch of the election, Mr. Julaphan said it was normal for all political parties to go out into the field at this time.
Meeting the people feels good, and I want to see all parties go out into the community more. The Pheu Thai Party has always emphasized this. Firstly, our candidates go to every village and every location to meet with the people. The Pheu Thai Party also prioritizes public rallies to meet as many people as possible. Today, many political parties are starting to hold rallies, which is a good thing. Presenting ideas, ideology, and policies to the people is something the Pheu Thai Party has consistently affirmed: elections are about the people, and they need to tell the people what each party's policies are and where they will lead the country. We believe this is good for the health of democracy, allowing the people to think and consider policies. Regardless of who comes back into power, or who goes out to meet the people, we see it as a positive thing.
Dr. Phrommin Lertsuriydet, Secretary to the Prime Minister and a leading figure in the Pheu Thai Party, stated that every election involves competition based on policies. He noted that competition is beneficial because different parties propose different ideas, and the question is which one is better. This is a crucial opportunity for the people to choose their future. He added that they have believed in this approach since the founding of the Thai Rak Thai Party, the People's Power Party, and now the Pheu Thai Party.
