Chulaphan Leads Pheu Thai Campaign at Suan Luang 1 Community

Bangkok: "Chulaphan" spearheaded the Pheu Thai Party's parliamentary candidates' campaign efforts at the Suan Luang 1 community and the Charoen Krung 103 canal market, focusing on strategies to attract tourists and generate new economic opportunities. During the campaign, he encountered a supporter of Thaksin Shinawatra, who proudly displayed an autographed banknote.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, leader and prime minister candidate of the Pheu Thai Party, was joined by Ms. Penpisut Chintasophon, candidate for MP in Bangkok Constituency 3, Ms. Anuttama Amornvivat, and Mr. Nannat Hongchuvech, both candidates on the party list, in visiting the Suan Luang 1 community in the Bang Kho Laem - Khan Na Yao district, a predominantly Muslim area.

Upon their arrival, Mr. Chulaphan and his team were warmly welcomed by the public and local vendors. During their campaign, they met Mr. Saroch Toetianchai, a Bhumjaithai Party candidate for Member of Parliament in the same constituency. The meeting was cordial, with both parties exchanging New Year greetings and wishing each other success. The community expressed their support by presenting orchids to Mr. Chulaphan and his team, who also took the opportunity to introduce Ms. Penpisut and Professor Yoschanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate.

The campaign trail led the group to the market along Khlong Charoen Krung 103, where they engaged with the public. Many attendees were curious about Mr. Yotsanu Wongsawat, another Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate. Residents extended their New Year's greetings, and one family shared their longstanding support for the Pheu Thai Party since Thaksin Shinawatra's tenure, showing a 20-baht banknote signed by Thaksin during a campaign two decades ago.

Mr. Chulaphan reflected on the visit, noting the positive response from the community. He emphasized the Pheu Thai Party's strong ties to the area, as his family, of Chinese descent, resides and works nearby. The warm reception from the community was a source of encouragement for the candidates.

The visit underscored the market's potential, with discussions highlighting its unique identity and community appeal. While most shoppers are locals, the Pheu Thai Party aims to attract external visitors to explore and shop, supporting the party's goals of fostering new opportunities and income streams for the community.
