Nonthaburi: Holding back tears, Coach Chet and Nutty recount their journey from millions in earnings to zero, revealing how they were discarded by a giant brand and had their intellectual property stolen.
According to Thai News Agency, on April 6, 2026, at Godmother Co., Ltd. (Head Office) in Nonthaburi Province, Mr. Surachet Wonglor, or Coach Chet, age 50, and Mrs. Jinnapat Wonglor, or Coach Nutty, age 35, along with their lawyers, Mr. Witthoon Kengngan and Mr. Yosakorn Laochotthanakul, held a press conference regarding the unfair termination of their distributorship contract by a giant global direct selling company. This action against the family, a legendary business group that has held the number one sales position in Thailand for over 10 years and Asia, resulted in financial damages totaling over 1,153,530,956.03 baht, as well as severe reputational and emotional distress.
Ms. Jinnapat, or Coach Nutty, stated that she has been a distributor for this large direct selling company for over 16 years, dedicating her time and effort and consistently achieving top sales. She shared her knowledge and mentored others on life skills and finances, helping all her fellow business partners. However, the actions taken against her have destroyed her family, hopes, and business. This incident occurred almost a year ago. Throughout that time, she and senior management had consistently discussed business matters, and she always followed company rules and fully promoted the brand.
Later, the executives came to her home in Thailand and discussed her needs. She expressed her interest in e-commerce, noting the popularity of platforms like Shopee and TikTok among Thai consumers, which account for 70-80 percent of the country's sales. She proposed a collaborative approach with the company to avoid price undercutting. Despite initial support and agreement from the company, she invested heavily in training for e-commerce, only to be terminated later with reasons she believes are unjust.
She claimed that her dismissal was framed on trading on the Shopee platform and excessive overclaiming, despite having received prior support from senior management. She questioned the real motives behind her termination, suspecting jealousy due to her young age and success. She pointed out the company's violations of Thai laws, which she had advised on, leading to personal financial penalties. She expressed her intention to seek redress for the damages, estimating them to be 4-5 billion baht.
Coach Chet, tearfully recounting his experience, revealed his 26-year dedication to the company and the mistreatment he faced, including intellectual property theft and financial hardships. He described the situation as a national problem, urging Thais to address the exploitation by the direct selling giant.
Mr. Witthoon Kengngan, their lawyer, stated his intent to represent the victims in pursuing legal action against the company for damages amounting to over 1 billion baht. He plans to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Board and pursue compensation based on available evidence, anticipating a lengthy legal process.
Tomorrow, April 7th, 2026, Coach Chet and Coach Nutty are scheduled to submit a complaint to the Office of the Consumer Protection Board regarding transparency and distributor exploitation by Herbalife (Thailand) Co., Ltd. at the Government Complex, Chaengwattana.
