Surin: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces visited the Surin-Phumakhuea border area in Sisaket Province, emphasizing that military personnel are always ready. General Ukrit Boontanon, along with his delegation, inspected the Thai-Cambodian border in the Suranaree Forces area, Surin Province.
According to Thai News Agency, General Boontanon traveled to Prasat Ta Kwai in Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province, where he received briefings on the missions of various units, including the Mobile Development Unit, Security Center, and International Counter-Terrorism Operations Center. The focus was on the organization of joint special operations units, capacity development, task force organization, force assembly, and future operational concepts. The General also inspected the unit’s operations. Subsequently, he visited Phu Makhuea Base in Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province, to learn about the missions of units such as the 3rd Humanitarian Mine Action Unit, the National Mine Action Center, the Military Communications Department, the Army Development Command, and the 6th Security Center. He planned future operational concepts for the units and provided encouragement to personnel engaged in sovereignty protection missions.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized the importance of maintaining readiness of available resources to respond to any situation, prioritizing the safety of personnel. He urged unit commanders to closely monitor news and discussions at relevant forums in the area to effectively implement policy. Furthermore, he stressed the need for commanders to supervise and pay attention to personnel at all levels, consider personnel management, and prioritize combat force protection measures to achieve the shared goal of maintaining sovereignty and security along the Thai-Cambodian border.
