Bangkok: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has announced the transfer of an additional 286 million baht in flood relief funds to 31,858 households across eight provinces in Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Interior’s DDPM detailed the distribution of compensation to flood victims affected during the 2025 rainy season. The compensation is set at 9,000 baht per household and is available in four categories, including households flooded for varying durations and those impacted despite being in high-rise buildings. This marks the seventh round of relief payments.

The DDPM, in collaboration with the Government Savings Bank, initiated the transfer of funds today to households in Songkhla, Phatthalung, Ang Thong, Pathum Thani, Uthai Thani, Nakhon Nayok, Chainat, and Phitsanulok. The total amount allocated is 286,722,000 baht, and the funds will be disbursed via PromptPay accounts linked to the recipients’ national ID numbers starting at 1:00 PM.

Since December 1, 2015, the DDPM and the Government Savings Bank have distributed relief funds to over 652,645 households across nine southern provinces, totaling 5,873,805,000 baht. The ongoing effort aims to support those affected by the floods, with the DDPM committed to expediting compensation for households experiencing delays due to account irregularities.
