Democrat Party to Hold Major Rally in Bangkok on January 11th

Bangkok: Abhisit Vejjajiva has announced that the Democrat Party will hold its first major rally in Bangkok on January 11th at Benjasiri Park. This will be followed by a closed rally at the City Hall Plaza, focusing on the party's 27 policy initiatives. Abhisit expressed confidence that these policies will meet the needs of all segments of the population and confirmed that campaigning in the South and East will proceed as planned.

According to Thai News Agency, Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Democrat Party's number one prime ministerial candidate and party leader, returned to the Sri Din Daeng market area, Constituency 6, to support the Democrat Party's Bangkok parliamentary candidate, Ms. Siripa Intavichean. Abhisit was previously a representative in this area 20 years ago. He noted a strong connection with many people in Din Daeng, who continue to support him and recognize the Democrat Party's candidates.

Abhisit mentioned that he and the party's executive team are discussing policies focused on "ending poverty in Thailand," particularly the 27 selected points, which are considered the party's key policies. He emphasized the need for further explanations as the public demands more detailed information. The upcoming rally at Benjasiri Park will serve as a platform for discussing these policies, with another closed event at the City Hall Plaza.

Additionally, Abhisit stated that he and his management team will visit Nakhon Si Thammarat province tomorrow. He acknowledged the fierce election competition in all areas but sees it as a positive development, offering people more choices. He stressed that campaigning in the South will continue with party executives and candidates in Narathiwat, Songkhla, and Nakhon Si Thammarat, while he will also visit Surat Thani. Campaigning in the Eastern region will focus on Rayong province, with visits already made to Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.

Meanwhile, Abhisit urged the public not to vandalize campaign signs and called for respect for all campaigns. He requested cooperation from the Election Commission, parliamentary candidates, and political parties to publicize information about the referendum, addressing current public confusion about the matter.
