Bangkok:Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) is launching 'DPU Masterpiece Where Excellence Becomes Legendary,' the first university-level beauty professional competition in Thailand. The event, scheduled for November 29, 2026, at DPU, aims to provide a platform for beauty experts to display their skills, exchange knowledge, and enhance professional standards. Participants will have the chance to compete for prizes and advance their careers on an international stage in the beauty and health industry.
According to Thai News Agency, the competition seeks to create career opportunities and help establish Thailand as a Wellness Hub. DPU has partnered with over 23 organizations to support this initiative. Dr. Peerayut Mangkang, Assistant to the President for Business Development at DPU, emphasized the university's commitment to developing human resources in the beauty and health sectors, which are poised for significant growth and can offer stable careers and income.
The event will feature a beauty pageant that encourages international collaboration. Judges and experts from Myanmar, Taiwan, China, and Korea will participate, offering Thai professionals a chance to learn from international counterparts. The competition is designed to include a wide range of skills, such as eyebrow and lip tattooing, eyelash extensions, and massage techniques, allowing both beginners and experienced individuals to participate.
Participants will receive certificates and commemorative trophies, with cash prizes awarded to winners in each category. The event will also include expert speaker sessions and booths showcasing beauty products and innovations. Entrepreneurs are invited to reserve booth space to present their products and services to a targeted audience.
Dr. Peerayut added that this platform aims to elevate professional standards in the beauty and health industries, focusing on technical skills, safety, and ethical conduct. DPU is poised to support the transformation of Thailand into a center for wellness and longevity, leveraging the meticulousness, humility, and service-mindedness of Thai professionals to create lasting value.
