Ubon ratchathani: Eight wildfires along the Thai-Cambodian border are still under control, with many areas on the Cambodian side less than 1 km from the border. The 2nd Army Region reported that the situation, although under control, involves areas showing smoke and wildfires near the Thai border.

According to Thai News Agency, on February 19, 2026, the 2nd Army Area Command summarized the daily wildfire situation along the border, identifying eight monitoring points. In Ubon Ratchathani province, the situation at Chong Bok is normal, but a forest fire was detected in the Chong An Ma area, south of Hill 500 on the Cambodian side, approximately 1 kilometer from the border.

In Sisaket Province, many areas remain normal, including Pha Mor E Daeng - Huai Ta Maria, Phu Makheua - Chong Don Aow, and Chong Sangam in Phu Sing District. However, several hotspots were detected on the Cambodian side near the border, including south of Sam Tae area, 2.8 kilometers from the border; south of Prasat Don Tuan, approximately 1.7 kilometers from the border; southeast of Chong Thap Oo, 800 meters from the Thai border; and southeast of Chong Krabal Krabai in Khun Han District, 800 meters from the Thai border.

Wildfires were also detected on the Cambodian side of the border in Surin Province, specifically in the Chong Khla Khamum area, approximately 700 meters from the Thai border; the Khon Na area, 1.5 kilometers from the Thai border; and the area southeast of Prasat Ta Kwai, approximately 5 kilometers from the Thai border. Meanwhile, the situation in the Chong Chom-Chong Preo-Chong Rayi, Chong Krang, and Ta Muen Thom areas remained normal throughout the day.

In Buriram province, specifically in the Chong Sae Takoo area, the situation remains normal. Security and local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating across borders to prevent the wildfire from spreading into Thailand. No impact on Thai communities has been reported so far.
