Ang thong: The Chairman of the Election Commission, Narong Klanwarin, expressed satisfaction with the public's enthusiasm for the election of Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) council members and mayors. During his visits to polling stations in Ang Thong Province, he noted high voter turnout and public awareness, attributing this to campaigns aimed at preventing invalid ballots.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narong observed the election process at multiple polling stations, including those at Wat Noi, Yi Lon Subdistrict Administrative Organization; Wat Ratchasakuna, Phai Cham Sil Subdistrict Administrative Organization; and in Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District. He stated that the election proceedings were orderly and normal, with some stations experiencing a large turnout. He emphasized the importance of electing qualified local administrators and noted the public's eagerness to vote early.
Mr. Narong advised voter networks and candidates to focus on reporting genuine fraud, such as vote buying, rather than minor deficiencies. He suggested that not all issues warrant formal complaints and that some should be discussed with election directors or polling station committees. The certification process will follow legal guidelines, with results confirmed within 30 days if there are no complaints and within 60 days if there are.
Mr. Narong and his team later proceeded to Singburi Province to oversee the electoral process in Ban Mo, Ban Paeng, and Muang Mu Subdistrict Administrative Organizations in Phrom Buri and Mueang Singburi Districts. He reported that these stations also operated smoothly, with citizens voting steadily since morning. The Election Commission office had actively encouraged voter participation to ensure the selection of representatives who can contribute to community development.
