Bangkok: Citizens anxiously await the Election Commission's (EC) press conference. The EC has decided to wait two days for the investigation process to conclude before deciding on a recount. The People's Party took media to see evidence of ballot boxes, highlighting that many boxes were not securely locked with straps. They opened the lids for the media to see and questioned the EC, asking why they needed to wait two days given the clear evidence of the ballot box tampering.
According to Thai News Agency, Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, Deputy Secretary-General of the EC, agreed to the condition of waiting two days for the investigation results before deciding on a recount in Chonburi's District 1. He also requested that supporters send representatives to guard the ballot boxes, fearing tampering. The EC is preparing to securely fence off the ballot boxes and has requested 24-hour police protection. The protesters have scheduled another meeting in two days to await the answer, insisting on a recount.
