Election Commission Member Anan Suwannarat’s Assets Declared at 29.2 Million Baht

Bangkok: Anan Suwannarat, upon assuming his position as a member of the Election Commission, is found to be worth 29.2 million baht. The NACC has released the asset declaration of Anan Suwannarat upon his appointment as a member of the Election Commission. He is reported to have assets worth 29.2 million baht and no debts.

According to Thai News Agency, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) disclosed the asset declaration of Mr. Anan Suwannarat upon his assumption of the position of Election Commissioner on December 7, 2025. Mr. Anan and his spouse, Mrs. Patchaporn Suwannarat, declared total assets of 29,218,813 baht with no liabilities. Mr. Anan's assets comprise 21,790,033 baht, including 18,734,161 baht in nine bank accounts, primarily held in the Agricultural Extension Department's Savings Cooperative and the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives. Investments in stocks and mutual funds total 2,327,872 baht. He owns one plot of land in Makham District, Chanthaburi Province, valued at 228,000 baht, and a vehicle valued at 500,000 baht. His total annual income is approximately 2,743,000 baht, divided into salary, wages, and pension of 2,453,000 baht, and meeting allowances of 200,000 baht. Total annual expenses are 758,257 baht, consisting of consumption expenses of 600,000 baht, life insurance premiums o f 58,257 baht, and donations of 100,000 baht.

Ms. Patchaporn has total assets of 7,428,780 baht, divided into 5 bank accounts with 2,395,380 baht; investments of 265,399 baht; 2 plots of land in Taling Chan, Bangkok, totaling 3,168,000 baht; a residential house in Thawi Watthana, Bangkok, valued at 1.5 million baht; and vehicles valued at 100,000 baht. She has no other assets and did not report any annual income, but stated annual expenses totaling 350,000 baht, consisting of 300,000 baht for consumption and 50,000 baht for supporting her parents.

Mr. Anan previously served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in 2018. After his retirement, and prior to his appointment as a member of the Election Commission, he held positions as a member of the Kasetsart University Council, a subcommittee member of the Subcommittee on Research Personnel Development in Agricultural Research at the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and a director of Poomphol Production Co., Ltd., Silo Poomphol Production Co., Ltd., and Pui Sawan Co., Ltd.
