Bangkok: Evidence has surfaced implicating "Big Jok," formally known as General Surachate Hakparn, in a bribery case involving 246 baht worth of gold. The Royal Thai Police have unveiled crucial materials that suggest an attempt to influence a case by bribing officials from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
According to Thai News Agency, the evidence includes both visual and auditory records, notably a video clip capturing the delivery of gold to an NACC commissioner. This delivery took place in the parking lot of the Southern Thailand Association, with the commissioner reportedly present in the vehicle receiving the gold. The police allege that this act was intended to sway a case related to an online gambling website.
Police Lieutenant General Trairong has confirmed the existence of substantial evidence supporting the bribery allegations. This includes purchase receipts for the gold, proof of its delivery, and the presence of the senior official's vehicle at the scene. The video footage has undergone examination, and its authenticity has been verified, further substantiating the claims against General Surachate Hakparn.
